The Concord Orchestra is composed of 70 musicians living in Concord, Massachusetts and the greater Boston metropolitan area. Richard Pittman, the versatile founder and music director of Boston Musica Viva, has been the music director and conductor of the Concord Orchestra since 1969.

Our season consists of three regular concerts performed in the fall, winter, and spring, a family concert in December, and Pops concerts in May. Concerts are held at 51 Walden, the Center for the Performing Arts in Concord. Subscriptions and individual tickets may be ordered by calling (978) 369-4967, or purchased on-line with a credit card through MKTIX.

Pictures taken at reception for donors held prior to March 15 concert

Each year one of our concerts features a performer from one of the Boston area schools who has won our Young Artist Competition. The winner also receives a cash prize from the Ehlers Memorial Scholarship Fund, which was founded in memory of Charles and Arlene Ehlers.

The Concord Orchestra is a member of the WBGH Membercard program. Benefits include a $2 discount on an individual adult ticket.
